The Value of Your PTA Membership

The PTA works on behalf of its members, providing state and national information and recognition to help unite parents, teachers and the community for the common good of all children. Together, members can create a healthy, nurturing environment for improving opportunities for all children and youth.

The Mission of the West Virginia PTA

The mission of the WV PTA is to work cooperatively with the National PTA council and local units to advocate for the children of West Virginia; to support the West Virginia public education system; to coordinate and utilize volunteers and resources to effectively implement programs and activities; and to further the objectives of PTA to allow all West Virginia children to grow to their fullest potential. 

PTA Objectives 

    • To promote the welfare of children and youth in the home, school, community and place of worship
    • To raise the standards of home life
    • To ensure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth
    • To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education  

The cost of PTA membership: $5.00. The value of PTA membership: Priceless.

Who can join? Anyone who has a desire to participate in the work of improving our school and the quality of our children’s education is invited to join.
